Thanks for this great article on milleniaupose I felt seen and heard. My gynaecologist claims I am too young at 42 for any symptoms but I know myself due to quite a few other things that I have and as I have ADHD. ADHD and hormones changes are not best friends to say the least and it can impact us women terribly. Irritating mood? check. Brain frog ? What where we discussing again? Bust and skin irritation? Check. More pain before my period? Check check check. So thanks for your help 💖
Thanks so much for sharing my research. Love your recommendations, too. It's very easy to feel overwhelmed by the information out there but so glad these conversations are happening.
Wow "40% of millennials are anxious about their impending menopause and another 40% feel unprepared." Very insightful. Thank for the amazing tips and resources Emma!
I was so anxious, and then I got a diagnosis and had to make a choice about going into medical menopause! Its been a journey but I am so grateful for all of the amazing information out there!
I think your last point about re-framing is especially important. As a 45 yo GenX I am grateful for all the increased awareness and education around menopause however, as with most things in our society, the mainstream narrative has focused heavily on all the negatives (‘ cause capitalism, of course). We’re feeding the fear and anxiety monster.
35 y.o. Millennial here. You were one step ahead of me at every point in this article! I started reading and immediately got anxiety right before you said millennials were getting anxiety because of what they could see coming. I thought, I need to put my phone down right before you listed the steps on how to manage this, which includes putting your phone down.
It seems you know us PRETTY well it turns out 🧐 , which makes me all the more nervous about the realities of this article.
On a serious note, as an over-thinking, inundated, anxiety-collecting millennial, I do appreciate this info! As much as it haunts me, I prefer to know what I’m in for.

Great article! I’ve had my own very turbulent experience of peri menopause, 6 years in now, navigating through and mostly in somewhat manageable ways!
Great article!

I wasn’t until I read that headline 😬 🙈 I mean, I guess I’m not stoked at the idea but….
