Have your say! The Female Lead launches new Menopause Journey Survey
We want women to share their personal experiences at every stage of menopause - because we all deserve understanding, support, and dignity during this time.
The Female Lead has launched a major new Menopause Journey Survey - a bold, new research initiative designed to listen, at scale, to the real experiences of people navigating perimenopause and postmenopause.
And we want to hear from YOU!
In one of the largest surveys to date, the Menopause Journey Survey gives women the platform to share their personal experiences at every stage of menopause. The goal: to build a world where everyone going through menopause receives the understanding, support, and dignity they deserve.
There are 13 million people currently peri or menopausal in the UK - the equivalent to a third of the entire UK female population [Wellbeing of Women]. By 2030, the world population of menopausal and postmenopausal women is projected to increase to 1.2 billion, with 47 million new entrants each year [NCBI]. Yet menopause is still misunderstood, undiagnosed, dismissed, or hidden.
Our new survey seeks to change that by capturing honest, lived experiences from the UK and around the world. You’ll help us gain a deeper and more sensitive understanding of the day-to-day support menopausal women need and deserve.
This survey is open to anyone experiencing symptoms of peri- or postmenopause. While most participants will identify as women, The Female Lead welcomes trans men, intersex people, and non-binary individuals whose voices are essential to building an inclusive picture of menopause today.
The online survey opens 16 December 2025 and closes 31 January 2026. Findings will be published later in 2026. All responses are anonymous and fully protected, empowering participants to share openly and without reservation.
Edwina Dunn OBE, founder of The Female Lead, says: “By taking part, you will help shape a better world for menopausal women, at home and in the workplace. Your story matters and will help shape how menopause is supported and understood. The voice of a single woman can change a conversation; the voices of many women can change the world.”
